Sweet and Salty Chocolate Popcorn

It's rainy and cold here in Florida today, the perfect kind of day to watch movies while cozied up on the couch. This is a fun and easy recipe to make for your next movie night, the sweet and salty taste will tickle your taste buds. My favorite sister in law Katie first gave me this idea when she told me about pouring candy over her movie theater popcorn, and I thought why not make it at home?

Ingredients
2 pkgs microwave popcorn
1/2 lb chocolate bark
2 single serving bags Peanut M&M's
tin foil or parchment paper

Microwave popcorn according to package directions.  Melt the chocolate bark in a glass container at one minute increments, stir until smooth. Place M&M's in ziplog bag and crush with rolling pin or meat mallet.
Pour popped corn on tin foil or parchment covered countertop, using a fork drizzle melted chocolate evenly over popcorn. While chocolate is still wet sprinkle M&M's over the top. Let sit until dry. Break into small pieces and either eat immediately or place in a sealed container.
Ingredients
While popping popcorn, place M&M's into bag
Crush candy into small pieces
Spread popcorn out and drizzle with chocolate bark
Doesn't this look good?
This is the perfect mix of salt and sweet.

Enjoy!

  3. @Bonnie, I gave most of the popcorn to my 2 year old neighbor. She looks forward to my daily visits to her house to give her my extras.

@Katie, you always inspire me! xoxo
