Olivia Bars

This has to be one of my most requested recipes, they are easy to make and taste so good.  It's a fairly versatile recipe and you can change it up by choosing any cake and chip flavor. I personally love using a chocolate cake mix and peanut butter chips.

Ingredients
1 yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and then spread into a greased 9x13 pan.
Bake for 16 minutes or until light brown on top. Let cool before cutting.

The recipe calls for TWO eggs, an extra one rolled into the picture

The dough after it's mixed, it has a slight oily look
pressed into the pan
fresh from the oven

Enjoy!

  2. Lisa, I swear people have been begging for this recipe for years. If you own the JP Stewart cookbook from years ago it will be in there, under Olivia Bars of course! Send some to Camille, they travel great!

You are correct in the fact that I was using a large cookie pan, I doubled my recipe for a party. The recipe asks for a 9x13 pan, I'm glad yours turned out and you like them. Thanks for following

  8. Yes, I still baked them for the same amount of time, with it spread out like that it baked at the same rate as the smaller pan.
